We had fifteen (15) Lancers qualify for the Pasco Invitational this weekend, but only twelve (12) could make the trip.  There were over 1200 athletes representing over 100 high schools at the Pasco Invitational.  Two (2) of our athletes competed in field events and ten (10) of them competed in running events.  Ariell Garnett (with the most events) competed in the 100m, 400m, 4x100m Relay and the 4x400m Relay.  Kit Bruner competed in the 200m, the 4x100m Relay and the 4x400m Relay; Gabi Patten competed in the 300m Hurdles, the 4x100m Relay and the 4x400m Relay; Lily Grassley competed in the 1600m and the 3200m; Alyssa Hoffman competed in the 100m Hurdles and the 4x100m Relays;  Ali Campagnaro competed in the Javelin;  Chloe Eustaquio competed in the Long Jump; Natalie Mutter competed in the 4x400m Relay; Isaac Haubrick-Feil competed in the 400m and the 4x400m Relay; Eli Braun, Nate Randall and Ramsay Bauer competed in the 4x400m Relay.  The day was a nice sunny one with a small amount of wind.  The sun brought out the best in the Lancers and they produced some nice season and personal records (SRs and PRs).  Ariell set a new PR in the 100m with a time of 12.48 which now ranks her 6th statewide in all 3A girls.  She also set a new SR in the 400m with a time of 59.82.  Kit set a new PR in the 200m with a time of 26.02 which now ranks her 10th statewide in all 3A girls.  Gabi set a new PR in the 300m Hurdles with a time of 47.3 which now ranks her 8th statewide in all 3A girls.  Chloe set a new SR in the Long Jump with a jump of 15’ 11.5” which now ranks her 10th in our District meet.  Ali set a new PR in the Javelin with a throw of 111’ 05” which now ranks her 11th in our District meet.  Isaac set a new SR in the 400m with a time of 52.67 which now ranks him 11th in our District meet.  The girl’s time of 4:08.45 in the 4x400m Relay placed them 9th at the Invitational (1 spot outside of placing/scoring) and 6th statewide in all 3A girls.  The top 5 in our District move on to State.  The meet has definitely prepared us for the post season; the Lancers are ready to compete.
