Intrasquad Meet 2015

After a morning of drizzle, the weather cleared-up nicely for our 6^th Annual Kennedy Intrasquad Meet.  The five teams drafted earlier in the week were ready to tackle the six traditional Intrasquad events: (1) Long Jump, (2) High Jump, (3) Ball Throw, (4) Hurdles, (5) Shot Put and the (6) Coed Medley Relay (200m/200m/400m/800m). 

“Perpetual Motion Squad”, led by Alex Lesar, dominated the Shot Put station.  “Tommy and the Joggers”, led by Isaac Feil, dominated the Co-ed Medley Relays by not only winning the A Relay race, but picking up the “Wild Card Point” for the B-Coed medley relay.  But…it was the “Paul Arnold Squad”, led by Ramsay Bauer, who totally dominated all the other stations.  The “Paul Arnold Squad” won the Ball Throw, High Jump, Long Jump and the Hurdles stations.

The individual championships were spread around amongst the teams.  Chloe Eustaquio of “The Walloping Wombat” won the girls Shot Put and Izig Ifopo of “Perpetual Motion Squad” won the boys Shot Put.  For a second year in a row Ali Campagnaro of the “Perpetual Motion Squad” won the Ball Throw.  Not to be out-done, Maddie Terry of the “The Walloping Wombats” had a repeat win in the High Jump.  She was joined in the High Jump winning circle by teammate Cullen Bryant.  Newcomer Karianne Bolma on “The Minions” team won the girls Long Jump.  Ramsay Bauer, Captain of the “Paul Arnold Squad”, won the Ball Throw, the Long Jump and tied in the Hurdles with teammate Nate Randall.  Last, but not least, a new 60 meter hurdle record was set by freshman Alyssa Hoffman of “The Minions” team.

In the end, the pure dominance of the "Paul Arnold Squad" led by Captain Ramsay Bauer could not be slowed and they won the 6th Annual Intrasquad meet Championship title with a score of 54; which was just one point away from tying the Intrasquad Meet record set by the "Soggy Cheerios" of 2011 led by Coach Casey Burns.  Hare are the final team scores and overall event champions:
